BIOGRAPHY
Born and raised in the desert of West Texas, designer John Renaud moved to New York City in 2005 in order to attend Pratt Institute,
where he majored in fashion design. John got his roots in patternmaking and technical design while working for Laura Moore Technical Services,
where he had the opportunities to work on projects for such clients as Oscar De La Renta and Chesley Mclaren. He has worked with designer Christian Joy,
costumer to the cult fashion icon Karen O; first as her intern and later her first design assistant. Under Joy John was given the opportunity to
work not only on the Christian Joy line, but on the costumes Joy designed for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and the Klaxons. Renaud also trained under designer
Gary Graham and performed freelance work for electronica star Peaches. John later worked with former Project unway contestant Daniel Vosovic,
where John had the chance to assist Daniel on his line for NYLO hotels and in the creation of his book Fashion Inside Out. In 2007 John had the
opportunity, through the Arts of Fashion Foundation, to study with Thierry Rondenet and Hervé Yvrenogeau, the designers behind the Belgian line Own,
and the Veronique Branqhino and Martin Margiela Menswear lines. In 2008 John Studied under Head of La Cambre Modes, Brussels , Tony Delcampe, and
Couture Assistant to Martin Margiela, Laurent Edmond. With his various internships and professional experiences in nearly every part of the industry,
from design, to production, to sales, John continues to create on a conscious and creative level.
